I hate having diabetes. This disease is a major inconvenience in my life. I’m tired of watching what I eat, I am tired of people telling me what to do. Most of all I’m tired of monitoring myself. If I don’t relieve this burden, I don’t know what I’ll do.
Since my diagnosis, my life isn’t the same, and that isn’t a good thing. My doctor seems sympathetic, but just tells me my condition will progress and if I’m not careful, I’ll lose a limb or my eyesight.
I don’t know what to do next. I read the stuff my doctor gave me and I visited the nutritionist. I’m really confused. I don’t think rice cakes are healthy, but the nutritionist told me I needed to reduce my caloric content, yet feel full. I want to eat real food and know that it’s good for me.

In the beginning of their diagnosis my clients obsessed about their numbers – BG readings (fasting, pre-meal, post-meal, pre-exercise, post-exercise, A1C, blood pressure, etc.). Then, they burned out on the process and took a vacation from taking readings at all. They may not even know exactly how good or bad their control is now. They just know they’re tired of the roller-coaster of feeling good, feeling poorly, and never knowing exactly why they feel that way.
Working With a Health Coach
Health Coaches are knowledgeable advisors who provide ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice to determine what changes are necessary for you.
Your personalized program will radically improve your health and happiness. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.
