Previously I worked in corporate America.  I had wonderful experiences at companies that made medical devices that helped people with various ailments requiring a surgical intervention.

But I watched family and friends deal with diabetes, and then, it happened to me. I’ve followed conventional wisdom and it didn’t work. I HATED asking for help, because I’m an adult, I should be able to do this myself. I know what it feels like to get the scolding “look” from my skinny non-diabetic physician.

While searching for solutions to dealing with my diabetes, I joined a year long coaching program to understand how I can help others.  I’ve also enrolled in another program to gain a deeper understanding of nutrition/diet programs to further assist my clients

I dislike having this disease, and realized it does NOT have to progress, I don’t have to wring my hands in despair, and I can share my knowledge with other people.

 

Why I chose to focus on Type 2 diabetes

I chose Type 2 because I “get it.” I know this disease and what it can do to your body and your life. I know the depths of despair and I know the joys of success. I have tried it all so let me save you the headache of those trials and get you started on a path with a plan that works.

Our physicians mean well, but typically they do not share your disease status, they have little training nutrition and coaching, and frankly they do not have the time to spend with you to answer your questions and structure a program just for you.

I specialize in working with people who have Type 2 diabetes. Let me help you get on the road to wellness and achieve freedom from the ravages of diabetes through control of the disease.

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
